Firefox 3.6.2 was released this week to patch a critical bug in the font decompression routines that could allow “an attacker [to] use this vulnerability to crash a victim’s browser and execute arbitrary code on his/her system.”

Users of Firefox 3.6 should upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible.

Firefox will update itself automatically, but if you’d like to upgrade manually, that’s easy to do too:

Mac and Windows users Click: Help > Check for Updates

Users of earlier versions of Firefox are not affected by this particular bug.
